Thru narrative, dvd presentation and song, you'll hear the stories and songs of Patsy Montana, Kitty Wells, Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynnette, Brenda Lee and many more thru today's women country vocalists! Opening the show - Steve Myers - Legends of Song
Steve Myers has been singing as long as he can remember. Influenced by his older brother Gene who perfected his Al Jolson Review and appeared at all the top venues around Cleveland in the late 1960s and early 70s. Steve soon was singing all the Jolson songs himself around the house. In 1969 Steve’s Father Frank purchased the Wooden Nickel Saloon in downtown Cleveland as a way of showcasing local talent with his Frank E. Myers Old Time Amateur Show. Gene was featured on the weekends as Cleveland’s Own Al Jolson. It wasn’t long before Steve got in the act and was soon on stage with the rest of the family singing and entertaining. In his teenage years Steve was involved in many School productions and was voted best singer in high school. He has appeared in Community Theater productions in past years. As a committed Christian, He has performed in many church musical dramas most notably that of Pontius Pilate in the Passion of the Christ. He recently appeared in a USO production -saluting world war II Veterans. He is now presenting his Legends of song review saluting the great Male Vocalists of the 20th Century. Steve performs the songs of Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, Matt Monro and many others..
